We are looking for a compassionate and sincere professional that enjoys working with seniors and their families. The individual will be ready to address callers with positivity and a listening ear. Most families are calling for the first time and after hours means they might be stressed and need to find great support FAST. We want to be a provider that is available by phone any hour of the day and prepared to support the care needs of the family. Training and support will be provided from the Home Instead Senior Care staff. Technology will be provided as well. We expect to have a weekly commitment to answering the phones twice a month only. This will be discussed further in the interview with prospective On Call Specialists. Responsibilities Reflect the core values of Coastal Companion Care, LLC d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise). Meet at the office Friday afternoon to review schedule with designated back-up On Call person and become aware of any potential trouble spots that might arise. Obtain resources needed for on call responsibilities such as laptop, tablet and/or phone along with any paper resources deemed necessary. Answering each incoming call in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and respond quickly to their needs. Fill all Client shifts following designated office scheduling processes. Communicate changes in Client Shifts to the Client(s) and CAREGiver(s). Contact backup person when questions arise about clients or CAREGivers that require input Fill in on assignments that come open until a replacement CAREGiver is found Conduct CAREGiver Introductions as needed. Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems with owner or designated key player. Monitor and log both client and CAREGiver activity and follow up on CAREGiver assignments and client service in the operating system. Field new client CAREGiver inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner and schedule care consultations. Respond to on-line inquiries in a knowledgeable manner and schedule care consultations. Enter all inquiries into Clear Care Create a log of the activities of your shift and communicate that to the designate key player(s) and enter the information into Clear Care. Return resources to the office on Monday morning a report the weekend's activity to the office staff. Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and CAREGivers Ensure Home Instead Senior Care standards are met and upheld Secondary Responsibilities: Participate in quarterly CAREGiver meetings Perform care consultations as required Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary Qualifications High school graduation or the equivalent One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered Must possess a valid driver's license Outstanding communication skills. Confidence with using internet based systems to carry out internal communication. Ability to problem solve quickly. Enthusiastic about caring for the elderly and willing to make home visits as needed.
