a senior-level professional to join our dynamic team! Our Tax Group
provides planning and tax compliance services to inbound and
outbound owner/entrepreneurial clients. The Tax Senior will be
responsible for a range of tasks that include year-end accounting,
tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with tax law. The
successful candidate will work with a team of experienced
professionals and will assist clients ranging from individuals to
corporations.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive tax
strategies for our clients. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax
regulations and identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships. Serve as a
trusted advisor, providing proactive guidance on tax matters and
addressing client inquiries with professionalism and
expertise.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to meet
the evolving needs of our clients.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify potential tax
risks and opportunities. Provide insightful recommendations to
clients based on your findings.
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge of processes to
expand the line of business and develop professional staff.Key
Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and review complex corporate,
partnership, and individual tax returns to ensure accuracy and
compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Tax Planning: Advise clients or internal stakeholders on tax
planning strategies to optimize their financial position and
minimize tax liabilities.
- Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and
regulations, research tax issues, and provide insightful analysis
to support decision-making.
- Client Management: Build and maintain relationships with
clients or internal departments, addressing their tax-related
concerns, and providing proactive advice.
- Audit Support: Assist in tax audits by gathering necessary
documentation, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and
representing the organization in discussions with tax
authorities.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including finance and legal departments, to ensure a holistic
approach to tax compliance and planning.
- Training and Development: Stay informed about industry trends
and share knowledge with junior team members, contributing to their
professional development.Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have a CPA or be eligible to take the CPA exam.
- Must currently work in Public Accounting.
- At least three years of experience with tax preparation for
individuals and corporations.
- Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax,
ProSeries, etc.).
- Familiarity with accounting and ERP software.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting
principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to
articulate complex tax concepts to clients clearly and
understandably.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with
the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
