GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Senior Project Manager is accountable for ensuring successful execution of major projects, including the responsibility of meeting project safety, quality, cost and schedule targets, in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs, and procedures that meet the requirements of the RCM Quality Assurance Program. The role of Senior Project Manager would normally be reserved for EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) and large projects and/or in role of a Portfolio Project Manager (i.e. Manager of Project Managers in a larger entity). SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: --- The Senior Project Manager role includes all aspects of the Project Manager role document (ES-RD-00019). --- When assigned as a Portfolio Manager - directly manage the assigned Project Managers and indirectly their staff. --- Assist the Director of Projects in business development activities in their area of influence. --- Assist the Director of Projects in all aspects of business planning. --- Accountable for execution of the business plan in their area. SELECTION CRITERIA: --- Able to demonstrate that the individual values the role and is committed to it. --- Behaviour demonstrates alignment with the organizational values of commitment, integrity, respect, and teamwork. --- Good written and verbal communication skills and proved ability to interact well at all levels of the organization. --- Demonstrated acumen in business development an asset. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: --- Demonstrated ability to act in senior management positions with little guidance. --- Proven ability to manage a business unit and develop business in a geographical area or with a specific client group or groups. --- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adjust quickly to changing priorities. --- Demonstrated ability to persist in driving issues and actions to closure. --- 10 plus years of related work experience is required to meet these requirements. EDUCATION: --- University degree, college diploma or equivalent. --- Must have taken Project Management training or have equivalent experience deemed acceptable by the Senior Vice President / Director of Projects (i.e. PMI PMP). --- Professional Engineer designation an ass
