MEDICAL GAS SERVICE TECHNICIAN, GENERALISTDo You Have A Strong Mechanical Background?Interested In Putting Your Industrial HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Gas or Related Experience to Work?Interested in a Recession Proof Career with Sought After Certifications?Join Medical Technology Associates (MTA) a Medical Gas Services Industry Leader that will invest in your training as you gain valuable certifications in a rapidly growing industry that is in high demand.MTA will provide you with the training, professional development, and career advancement as we continue to grow! --A career path at the company may include Med Gas Service & Repair, Environmental & Ventilation Testing, Pharmacy Testing, Sales, Operations or Leadership over time.Join our team; experience our amazing culture and see where your talent and ambition can take you!--About Us--Medical Technology Associates--is the largest single-source healthcare compliance company with over three decades of experience. --We offer a wide array of Medical Gas Services and Equipment, Environmental Monitoring and Clean Room/Hood Services to healthcare facilities, pharmacies, laboratories and mechanical engineers across the United States and throughout the Caribbean. --This role offers competitive compensation and benefits, a--company vehicle,--per diem, and an expense account.--Job Specifics:The Med Gas Service Tech is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining, vacuum pumps and air compressors in healthcare facilities.Job Functions--Servicing MTA accounts for testing and certification of medical gas systems.Maintenance, repair and installation of medical gas pipeline systems.Perform regular preventive maintenance on various manufacturers' pumps and compressors.Provide thorough and accurate trouble shooting and repair of medical vacuum pumps and air compressors (1.5-25HP).Troubleshooting 230/460VAC 3 phase motors and controls.Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and make adjustments.Knowledge of control panels and ability to work inside cabinets with rated voltages of 208-460.Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Understand operating manuals for preventative maintenance service.Consult/assist in sales, as necessary.Pass along leads to the respective Sales Representative when received.May require travel to other markets to supply support to other service personnel in facilitating scheduling and completing repair/PM service work orders.Utilize Field Aware system for job scheduling, job tracking and time reporting.--Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 50lbs.Ability to carry equipment and climb ladders.Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, hold equipment, and drive for extended periods of time.Overhead work.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position and hours of work are typically Monday-Friday, but will vary based on the requirements of the assigned job/facility. Overtime required.This job can include some nights and weekends, and some overnight travel dependent on job/facility needs.--Travel75% or more of travel may be required, with possible overnight stays.Qualifications:--Strong mechanical aptitude with at least 2 years' experience in one or more of the following or related areas: (Electrical: Low/High voltage, control panels, sensors, wiring, cabling; Industrial HVAC or Plumbing with experience in Pumps, Compressors)Experience in medical gas industry is desirable, but not required.Commitment to obtain ASSE 6005 certification within 90 -180 days from start of position.Commitment to complete the Forms, Tools, & Requirements and Level 1 sections of the MTA Medical Gas Technician Training Record within 90 -180 days from start of position.Commitment to obtain ASSE 6040 certification within 18 months from start of position.--Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Highly organized, exceptional customer service skills & professional appearance and behavior.Ability to travel, work flexible hours & adjust the schedule as required to meet customer needs.Must show commitment to the company's core beliefs of integrity, safety and customer service.--DisclaimerThe salary provided in this posting is a generated estimate and is not accurate for this position.
