Job Summary and Qualifications Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, The Wound Care Nurse communicates and collaborates closely with physicians, outpatient and inpatient nurse managers, other Wound healing Center (WHC) staff and other members of the health care team to provide consistent quality of care for patients with wounds. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan, implement and evaluate the care for adult and geriatric clients. The RN works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all WHC and affiliate hospital policies and procedures. He/She complies with hospital and nursing philosophy and standards while performing job duties and responsibilities and will demonstrate competence in these key job areas through the ability to perform functions, including, but not limited to, the common examples listed. What qualifications you will need:
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • 1 year acute care experience HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is 467-bed hospital. We are a fully accredited medical surgery hospital.
