Excellence.SummaryThe Environmental Staff Scientist is a key role,
responsible for conducting research, assessments, and implementing
strategies. The role is responsible for data analysis, reporting,
stakeholder engagement and project management to support
sustainable practices and environmental protection.QualificationsTo

functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental studies to evaluate natural resources,
ecosystems, and pollution levels
- Perform fieldwork, collect samples, and gather data using
various methods and equipment
- Analyze environmental data, including air and water quality,
soil composition, and biodiversity
- Interpret findings to assess environmental impacts and identify
potential risks
- Prepare detailed reports documenting research findings, data
analysis, and recommendations
- Develop proposals, cost estimates, and project deliverables to
meet client expectations and quality standards
- Perform Phase I and II ESA technical writing in addition to
fieldwork related to soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
- Conduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and
prepare comprehensive reports
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and
standards
- Assist in obtaining environmental permits and approvals for
projects
- Manage environmental projects, including groundwater monitoring
and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
- Track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure
timely and effective execution
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan and
design projects
- Collaborate with organizations, government agencies, and
communities to promote eco-friendly practices
- Engage stakeholders in environmental planning, decision-making,
and public outreach
- Provide education and training on environmental regulations,
issues, and best practices
- Other duties may be assignedRequired Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving
record (in accordance with our Driver's License and Motor Vehicle
Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the
duties and responsibilities of the role
- Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with
Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state
classification)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or related
field
- AHERA Inspector license and HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental research,
assessments, and project management
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, best practices, and
safety procedures
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Self-driven and dynamic in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management
software
- Ability to read and write, including interpreting documents
such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals, as well as writing routine reports and
correspondence and speaking effectively with colleagues,
supervisors, and customers/clients
- Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including
sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data
Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare
reports
- Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and
divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram
formPreferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in environmental research, assessments, and
project management
- Previous experience in an A/E/C firm
- Proficiency in data analysis, GIS Software and technical report
writing
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration
skills
- Ability to solve problems, manage multiple projects and meet
deadlines
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, best practices and
safety proceduresPhysical Demands & Work Environment:
- Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or
feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear.
Body motions and movements include: bending, twisting, reaching,
stooping, pulling, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and pushing, with
