Job Description:
Position Title: Construction Associate Reports To : Director Of
Construction & Construction Project Managers Purpose : Responsible
for working with our Construction Superintendent, Project Manager &
Senior Project Manager in new construction activities and
neighborhood revitalization projects. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S
LICENSE AND AT LEAST A 3 YEAR CLEAR DRIVING RECORD TO MEET
AFFILIATE DRIVER GUIDELINES FOR INSURABILITY. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS
A DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK. About us: Habitat for Humanity

empower. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for
understanding the HFHGPBC construction operations manual, volunteer
and site safety policies and procedures. Responsible for addressing
trim & frame concerns with the superintendent at the frame stage to
address concerns or issues appropriately. Responsible for the
building process, providing supervision and training for skilled
and unskilled volunteers. Responsible for Inventory of the
appropriate tools on site for the specific tasks. Attend job
meetings at the beginning of each work period for assignments and
other instructions. Monitor work site for safety adherence with
proper equipment usage and protective measures. Monitor workers for
pace of work and potential safety concerns. Complies with HFHGPBC
Policy Manuals. Other duties as assigned by the Construction
Superintendent, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager SKILLS,
KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Knowledge of family services
requirements for partner families' Must have knowledge of Habitat
for Humanity International (HFHI) construction standards and
HFHGPBC standards of excellence. Organizational skills for
efficient and timely management of construction activities. Ability
to be a lifetime learner and perform duties in a satisfactory
manner. Attentive, empathetic, collaborative, and harmonious
interpersonal skills Ability to relate well with all constituents,
including staff, partner families, volunteers, business, religious
and political communities. High level of self-motivation and
stamina in working an appropriate weekly schedule, which requires a
flexibility to respond to unexpected demands. Ability to
appropriately represent HFHGPBC, advocating the mission and
objectives of HFHGPBC at all functions, internally as well as
throughout the community. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal
and written communications skills. Ability to work patiently and
effectively with labor and volunteers. Maintain reasonable and
presentable work attire. Maintain a clean and safe work
environment. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Education and/or
experience in similar position, with satisfactory relevant
experience. Preference is given for experience with a non-profit
volunteer-intensive organization. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Heavy lifting
Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be physically able to lift
with proper equipment, heavy items. Must be able to stand, squat,
and bend. Must be able to climb on and off truck. MENTAL DEMANDS
-Problem-solving - Decision-making - Strategizing -Dealing with
stressful situation - Communication with others - Conceptualizing
-Driving - Organizing WORK ENVIRONMENT - Physically Demanding
Exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise,
fumes, dust, etc.). WORK SCHEDULE 40 hours/week; Tuesday thru
Saturday. Supervisor will schedule accordingly. This position
requires working Saturdays. Days off are Sundays and Mondays.
