Garda has offices in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale.Garda is looking to hire a Macroeconomic Analyst to join the Rates trading team in Zug. The candidate will be supporting portfolio managers by analyzing opportunities, maximizing conviction and modeling findings for future use.Position Responsibilities

• Generate high conviction views on macro markets by identifying and analyzing key developments across global economies and markets.
• Support the macro trading team with economic research and market analysis.
• Improve macro risk taking around economic cycles and specific data releases by producing data driven analytics.
• Support the team's research process, including model building, data collection and analysis, prototyping, back testing, and performance monitoring.
• Evaluate sell side research for useful, repeatable insights.Qualifications & Desired Skills
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in an applied economist or rates/macro strategy role.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in economics, econometrics, statistics, finance, financial engineering, applied math, computer science, or similar quantitative or technical discipline.
• Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve, particularly relating to macroeconomics.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Specific work experience with the US & European economies and interest rate markets are a plus.
