To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position using the Career worklet, please review this tip sheet.The UHealth-University of Miami Health System IT Department has an opportunity for a full-time Epic Senior Analyst.The Epic Senior Analyst initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
• Serves as a primary support contact for application end-users.
• Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
• Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
• Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
• Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
• Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
• Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
• Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
• Participates in on-call rotations and support and attends applicable committees.
• Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
• Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
• Remains knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.Department Specific Functions:As an Epic Senior Analyst - MyChart/Care Everywhere/EpicCare Link, you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:
• Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team.
• Initiating the implementation, build, and modification of the application.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
• Supporting junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Epic MyChart, Care Everywhere, and EpicCare Link Certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
• Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills preferred.
• Familiarity with legal requirements and operational policies related to patient and family privacy practices preferred.
• Familiarity with current outside organization connection strategy preferred.
• Familiarity with community clinic relationships and how those groups interact (referrals, discharge to SNF, lab ordering, surgery scheduling, etc.) preferred.
• Familiarity with the non-clinical external groups that need to access information about certain patients and why they need the information preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
