JDK LLC is a fast-growing company in the United States area. We are looking for a Foreman for the Miami Area. We seek a self-motivated, highly organized, and strong work ethic individual.

The Foreman will observe the sub-contractors and assist in certain aspects, such as ground-up and retrofit projects. These projects will primarily consist of rental car projects but can also include commercial and a variety of other ventures. The Foreman will spend most of his/her time on construction sites around Florida.

Essential Duties:

Review project documents (blueprints & Specifications) and confirm field accuracy.
Read specifications, such as blueprint details, to determine construction requirements for the subcontractors.
Applicants must have computer literacy.
The foreman is responsible for assisting the Superintendent with project layout or confirmation of the subcontractor's layout.
Coordinate subcontractors' work schedules based on the JDK Project Schedule, overall project plans, and the client's schedule based on their traffic flow.
Provide daily reports via the Procore app (phone or computer)
Provide daily photos via the Procore app (phone or computer).
Provide technical direction and manage productivity.
Manage quality and construction for the project.
Make sure all sub-contractors follow all safety requirements.
Assist with weekly subcontractor/safety job site meetings.
Maintain communications with the subcontractors and ensure they keep up with their red-line as-built drawings.
Represent JDK, LLC to all related parties, including Architects, Engineers, Owners (rental car managers,) vendors, and municipal agencies.
Work with tools performing minor construction tasks

Requirements:

Travel Required
Experience: 10+ years of experience as a carpenter/foreman, preferably with ground-up and retrofit commercial projects
Must be a licensed Fork Lift Operator
Must have working experience with power tools, hand tools, leveling equipment (lasers)
Ability to layout Projects
Knowledge of Concrete Framework
Must have excellent communication skills.
Education: High school diploma
Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; frequent standing

Physical Demands and Travel Requirements:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift and carry or manipulate items of up to 50 lbs. and walk over uneven or unpaved ground to reach a worksite in construction zones. This position may be required to perform various construction tasks in all areas and aspects of the project-including climbing scaffold or platform work, confined spaces, and exposure to outside elements. You must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus while working with computers and business equipment.

Computer Equipment and Software:

Knowledge of how to use an iPad
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Knowledge of Procore Software
Full knowledge of blueprint reading is required.
