Progressive Bilingual Intake Specialist (Healthcare) - Miami, FL

Location: -Hybrid Schedule (Week 1: 2 days onsite, Week 2: 3 days onsite - Rotating 2-3-2 Schedule)

About the Role: -An established healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven -Bilingual (English/Spanish) Intake Specialist -to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by connecting individuals with essential healthcare services, including Medicaid programs. Reporting directly to the Unit Supervisor, this role is pivotal in assessing needs, determining eligibility, and guiding individuals through the enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake, screening, and triage to connect individuals with appropriate healthcare programs.
  
• Assist individuals with Medicaid eligibility and applications by coordinating with local agencies.
  
• Collaborate with healthcare and social service professionals to facilitate timely program access.
  
• Maintain accurate Medicaid eligibility tracking data to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  
• Educate individuals, families, and professionals on Medicaid programs, benefits, and access points.
  
• Advocate for clients by liaising with partner agencies to resolve eligibility concerns.
  
• Provide guidance in emergency or disaster response situations, ensuring continued access to resources.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.
    
  • Passionate about helping individuals navigate healthcare services and support systems.
    
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to manage data and maintain compliance.
    
  • Able to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including older adults and families in crisis.
    
  • Experienced in case management, intake processing, or social services.
    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using electronic tracking systems.
    
    
    Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field -OR -Associate's degree with at least -2 years -of experience in casework, intake, or long-term care services -OR -High school diploma/GED with -4 years -of relevant experience.
      
    • Ability to type at least -45 words per minute -with strong grammar and spelling skills.
      
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
